The Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna, coordinated by the DDA of Naples, have completed an operation against drug dealing in Acerra, defeating two criminal groups called “Dirett” and “Pintonio”.

The operation, which saw the use of a large number of soldiers, ended with the arrest of 11 people, including leaders and followers, accused of criminal association aimed at dealing narcotics.

The investigations, developed between June 2022 and April 2023, made it possible to document the cocaine and crack dealing activity, conducted by the two groups both wholesale and retail.

The “Dirett” group and the drug dealing square in Piazza San Pietro

The first group, led by Ciro Affinito (49 years old), was active in the drug dealing square in Piazza San Pietro. The drug dealing took place through two women, Maddalena and Luisa De Falco27 and 63 year old daughter and mother respectively, who employed pushers such as Carlo Brazil (26 years), Tommy Maione (26 years old) e Giuseppe Piscopo (29 years old).

The “Pintonio” group and the drug dealing in the Madonnelle district

The second group, however, was led by Pasquale Tedesco (36 years old) and operated in the drug dealing square of Madonnelle district. His pushers, primarily tasked with selling cocaine, were Antonio and Antonino Terracciano (25 and 38 years old), Vincenzo Corno (38 years old) e Nicola Carolla (47 years old). The latter were also equipped for home delivery of drugs.

Yet another operation against drug dealing in Acerra

Today’s operation represents a serious blow to drug trafficking and drug dealing in Acerra. This is the third blitz conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna in the last year against drug dealing in the city:

    • July 17, 202321 people were arrested as part of a pre-trial detention order.
On October 14, 2023, Andrea Aloia (24 years old), considered a leading exponent of the Avventurato clan, was arrested after escaping the blitz of 17 July.
Last February7 people were arrested with a precautionary measure in prison issued by the investigating judge of Naples at the request of the DDA.

The commitment of the police and the judiciary in the fight against drug dealing in Acerra as reported in the news of Naples in recent times has already led to significant results. Today’s operation demonstrates the determination to combat the phenomenon and protect the safety of citizens.
