ForestaMe project in via La Farina, Gioveni denounces: “yet another unwatchable disgrace”

City councilor Libero Gioveni, group leader of Fratelli d’Italia, has raised new criticisms regarding the ForestaMe project, this time focusing on what was achieved in via La Farina. Gioveni, who in the past has highlighted various critical issues in the various executive phases of the project in the city centre, expresses strong doubts about what has been done in this area.

In particular, Gioveni underlined the situation in the stretch of via La Farina at the intersection with viale Europa. At this point, where the appropriate horizontal signs without parking had been created to allow cars to queue up near the traffic lights, new tree locations were instead placed, creating an evident obstacle to traffic.

“This is incomprehensible and unjustifiable”, states Gioveni, “unless the Administration intends to pedestrianise Via La Farina too!”

Gioveni continues by expressing dismay at the construction of the bases for the plantings, placed on real concrete blocks or even on pipes. These solutions, according to the councillor, can jeopardize the development of trees and cause possible damage to pipelines.

“By virtue of the umpteenth distortions that have emerged in the ForestaMe project,” concludes Gioveni, “this morning I asked the third competent council commission to urgently summon the general director Puccio and the responsible technicians, both to obtain the necessary explanations and to adopt any corrective measures.”
