As every year, the appointment with the Concert for the World Day against Drugs and Addiction organized by Emilia Romagna Concerti al Re di Girgenti, the dormitory in Ravenna, returns. The initiative also has the support of ENI, which has supported the cultural and artistic events of Emilia Romagna Concerti and the Young Musicians European Orchestra for many years.
The concert will be held on June 26th in the external courtyard of the Re di Girgenti, one of the most significant places in Ravenna, a shelter managed by Carla Soprani, the Citizen Anti-Drug Committee and the Municipality of Ravenna.
“The name of the center derives from Camilleri’s famous novel set in 18th century Sicily under the reign of the Savoy, where a farmer formed an independent kingdom for six days, proclaiming himself king. As if to mean that everyone, absolutely everyone, is their own master if they want, and everyone must be able to have a second chance” they say from Emilia Romagna Concerti.
This year’s concert will feature two people from Ravenna who have been involved in international pop and folk music for years, Riccardo Ruffini, singer on guitar, and Roberto Savorani on violin, with a program of great classics of Italian music.
The evening with the significant title “Vivi la Vita” will be free to enter and in collaboration with the SERT (Service for Drug Addiction) and the Municipality of Ravenna.
