Reggio Calabria, presentation of the image competition

Tomorrow, Tuesday 25 June, at 11.00, at Palazzo Alvaro, in the Metropolitan Council room, there will be the finalists of the Image Competition were presented coordinated for the “Griso Laboccetta” archaeological area, created following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ulysses Association, manager of the Park, and the Reggio Academy of Fine Arts. The laboratory was held with the students of the Graphic Design course held by prof. Monica Ferrara, First two-year period of Graphics 2022-2023.

The Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Falcomatà with a short ceremony he will award the three finalist students a certificate, following the evaluation of the Jury made up of prof. Piero Sacchetti (Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabria), by prof. Domenica Galluso (Deputy Director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabria), by prof. Fabrizio Sebastiani, (Coordinator of the Graphics School), by prof. Monica Ferrara (teacher of Graphic Design), by prof. Marisa Cagliostro (President of the Ulysses Association), by the architect. Pina Vitetta (Vice President of the Ulysses Association), by Dr. Chiara Parisi (Official of the Metropolitan City – Institutional Affairs Sector).

The logo will from now on be used for all the cultural events that will take place in the Area and for the creation of gadgets that recall the finds now on display at the National Archaeological Museum, to characterize small guides linked to the themes of the site, a sacred area dedicated to Demeter and to all the traditions of the myth of the earth and the abundance of the harvest.
