Antonio Decaro unleashed at the end of the election Sunday, in which he went to vote “to become a former mayor” as he wrote on Facebook by publishing his photo at the polling station. In the evening he enjoyed yet another crowd in Bari Vecchia, where he was welcomed by a “European parliamentarian” (on the strength of the almost 500 thousand votes received) at a karaoke evening organized in the cathedral churchyard, as part of the “La Vescigghie de San Geuanne”, on the eve of Saint John. And to the presenter who reminded us that he is now at home in Brussels, Decaro responded ironically: “Just don’t send the videos there otherwise they’ll piss me off”, referring to the controversy sparked a couple of months ago after the publication of a photos on social media in which he was portrayed together with the sister and nephew of the boss Tonino Capriati, both traders with no criminal record from Bari, who had asked him for a selfie for the feast of Saint Nicholas. Jokes aside, the MEP launched into a performance to the tune of “Acqua e sale” by Mina and Adriano Celentano, photographed and filmed by dozens of people who closely bounced the images in the chats
