Delegation of the Swiss Shippers Council, the association of Swiss shippers and shippers, and the Propeller Club of Basel visited the Ports of Genoa for two days.

Following the participation of the AdSP, together with the associations and operators of the cluster, at the Swiss Shippers Forum in Interlaken last April, to present the Ports of Genoa’s offer of services for the Swiss market, a delegation of operators associated with the Swiss Shippers Council and the Propeller Club Basel visited the ports of Genoa, to view the terminals in the field and start B2B meetings.

On Thursday 20 June the operators, before visiting the Prà and Genoa basins with a boat tour, were hosted at Palazzo San Giorgio, where the Port Authority illustrated the port system of the western Ligurian Sea as a whole and the program of infrastructural interventions currently underway.

While on the 21st the tour continued with visits to the PSA Genova Pra’ terminal, particularly interesting for the direct train to Basel which operates a three-weekly service. The works were finally concluded in Vado Ligure, where the Swiss representatives were hosted at Vado Gateway, a terminal that aims to expand its range of action to Southern Europe, thanks to the new investments underway in railway systems.

During the two days of meetings and networking, the community of Swiss operators also had the opportunity to meet the Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Genoa Renè Rais.
