It will be a great and easily well-attended icing on the cake of the Festa dell’Unità in Cesena, from 11th to 21st July, the new photographic exhibition which this year too returns to characterize the Dem rally at the Frutipapalina park in S. Egidio, under the expert (and usual) directed by Orio Teodorani.

The opportunity was tempting given the results that were maturing on the field. So the photographic part of the festival this year will be entitled “A beautiful story… Cesena: photo story of a century of football in our city”.

One hundred years of “ball” lived with intensity and emotion starting from Renato Serra (whose foundation dates back to 1922) up to the last triumph of Cesena FC which returned to national prominence with the conquest of promotion to Serie B as a result of the last triumph ( and with record numbers) Lega Pro championship.

There will be three hundred photographs cataloged from the most faded black and white symbols up to the promotion party of the last Easter period: with the images of the triumph and the mathematical reconquest of Serie B after the home match against Pescara.

The historical material comes from both the photographic archive of the Malatestiana Library, the Zangheri archive and that of Cesena Fc. A “flight into history” that passes through the events that characterized the epic of the black and white colors and the Cavalluccio divided into many distinct sectors but united by the uniqueness of cheering.

There are the triumphs considered more prestigious, such as victories against Juventus or Milan; the images of the UEFA cup… But there are also the faces and characters who have literally marked the history of the last century of football. The most famous coaches who sat on the Juventus bench and then became top of the class on the national scene (from Azeglio Vicini to Marcello Lippi) or those from Romagna such as Renato Lucchi and Corrado Benedetti. The strongest players cataloged strictly by role; and the era of foreigners, naturally starting from the most famous or those who remained most in the hearts of the fans.

The best goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers. All to celebrate 100 or more years of history and proudly await other future victories. It is easy to imagine that many will not want to miss this pearl which brings together images of present and past times which until now had never been exhibited in a single place.
