«We march against the right of crematoriums and gay prisons»

There are 9 cities that today are crossed by the Onda Pride processions, the large demonstration in support of the rights of LGBTQIA+ people organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations. Appointment in Ancona with the Marche Pride, which starts at 4pm from the War Memorial, at the Passetto.

“The limit for us has already been full for a long time, yet this Melonian right strikes us daily with regurgitations of the Twenty Years and crusades of hatred”, declares Gabriele Piazzoni, general secretary of Arcigay. He continues: “The now former candidate for mayor of Torre of Greco, Carmine Alfano, wants to be at the crematoriums. And if someone asks him to account for what he says, he replies that it is ‘joking’. Stuff that is intended to entertain, even make people laugh. In the meantime, the competition to create quibbles continues in Parliament to imagine the incarceration of homosexuals. The League thinks that gays who have used surrogacy should be put in prison for up to ten years objective, and not the opposition to a procreation practice”.

“This right is frightening, we won’t tire of saying it: it plays with the practices of Nazi-fascism and imagines a world of fathers in prison for the mere fact of being fathers and homosexuals. Against the right of crematoriums and prison for gays, we today we will fill the streets of nine cities, from north to south. Join us all, our voice is already a roar”, concludes Piazzoni.
