SPRESIANO (TREVISO) – He hits a cyclist and runs away, the hit-and-run driver has been identified. This is a 21-year-old from Treviso reported by the police for failure to provide assistance. The clash last June 2nd at around 1.45 am in Spresiano in via Tiepolo.
Cyclist hit, motorist flees
The 21-year-old driving his car did not stop at the stop sign and hit a bicycle that was traveling along via Giorgione and then pressed on the accelerator without providing assistance. In the collision, the cyclist, a 48-year-old from Treviso, was thrown off his bicycle and, after climbing onto the bonnet of the car, fell disastrously to the ground. Some people who witnessed the scene, near the Odyssey nightclubthey rescued him and called for help. The man was transported to the Cà Foncello hospital in Treviso with various injuries and a prognosis of 25 days.
The videos
Thanks to the video surveillance cameras in the area, the military managed to trace the identity of the hit-and-run driver. From the images, the police were also able to notice that the driver of the car, having arrived at the intersection with via Giorgione from via Tiepolo, did not stop at the stop sign and instead continued driving without noticing the arrival of the cyclist who was crossing the insertion.
