From the 23 to 25 June Naples will host for the first time the Annual Joint Meeting of the ENIC and NARIC Networks, the annual conference of the centers dealing with recognition of qualifications belonging to the ENIC-NARIC networks. Now in its 31st edition, the international event represents the main meeting of the year to discuss measures aimed at promoting academic mobility around the world, one of the priority tools for training students, to allow them to learn valuable skills and broaden their horizons.

The organizer of this year’s meeting is CIMEAan information center on mobility and academic equivalences, the Italian body part of the ENIC – NARIC networks, which for the third time in the history of the conference brings the event to Italy.

This year, on the occasion of CIMEA’s 40th anniversary, the center has chosen Naples as the host city. A choice that is not at all random: 2024 is in fact the year of the 800th anniversary of the University of Naples Federico II. We therefore wanted to celebrate the city that gave birth to one of the world’s most important universities prestigious in Italy, the first to have been founded by an emperor, as well as one of the oldest public universities in the world.

«Naples has represented one of the cradles of academic culture for 800 years and the anniversary of the University of Naples Federico II is for us the ideal opportunity to emphasize the role that this city has in promoting higher education in Italy and in the world” declared Luca Lantero, general director of CIMEA. «As CIMEA we have always been spokespersons ethics and academic valuesincluding that of international student mobility, which is why we are proud to host the conference for the third time in Italy and highlight the measures implemented by our country to welcome as many international students to our universities. The meeting constitutes an opportunity to exchange good practices on the recognition of foreign qualifications, for the benefit of both international students who want to continue their studies with us, and Italian students who instead want to attend universities abroad”.

In the three days of the meeting, the Neapolitan capital will become a real crossroads of hundreds of international delegates, who will be able to discuss the key role of the recognition of qualifications as a tool for inclusion and promotion of mobility, in a completely exceptional setting, ranging from Donna Regina Monumental Complexthe place where the works will begin, al Federico II Congress Centerwhich will host the entire conference, up to Bourbon Gallerythe exclusive location where the 40 years of CIMEA and the NARIC network will be celebrated.
