Last June 12th, the policemen of the Mazara police station del Vallo have implemented the order for the application of the precautionary measure issued by the Court of Marsala, Office of the Judge for Preliminary Investigations, with which he is the measure of house arrest was ordered against a citizen of Mazara, class of ’66, as he was seriously suspected of the crime of aggravated robbery in competition committed on 12 May last, at the “San Vito” Pharmacy, located in Corso Vittorio Veneto in Mazara del Vallo.
In particular, at approximately 7.00 pm, on May 12th, a misrepresented person wearing a cap with visor and fleece hood, broke into the San Vito Pharmacy and ordered aloud to the two shop assistants present to give him the money from the till. A second subject, with his face distorted, acted as a pole, remaining immediately outside of the commercial establishment, near the door. The two saleswomen managed to run out into the street and call the single emergency number 112. Since the pharmacy is equipped with automatic checkouts, the two criminals were unable to remove money and, shortly after, they fled in the direction of Via Santa Maria di Gesù The police station intervened promptly on the spot.
The judicial police investigations, immediately started by the Investigation Section of Mazarese PS police station, consisting in the scrupulous and timely acquisition and examination of the video-recorded images from the company’s video surveillance system pharmacy, have allowed us to identify with absolute certainty the person of a known person convicted criminal from Mazara, one of the perpetrators of the robbery who had remained unknown until then. The latter was referred to the AG for the crime of aggravated robbery in complicity with the crime Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Marsala who, sharing the conclusions investigations by the PS Police Station, requested the measure from the competent GIP precautionary measure against him.
