The eighth edition of the international literary review is underway “Velletri Libris”. This evening at 8pm the inauguration, at the Cloister of the House of Cultures of Music in Velletri. At 9.00pm Gianluca Gotto will present his book “When happiness begins”.
The exhibition is organized by the Mondadori Bookstore Velletri-Lariano-Genzano-Frascati-Cisterna and by the De Cultura Foundation. The Cloister of the House of Culture and Music will be embellished, during the evenings, by art exhibitions curated by the ArteMestieri Castelli Romani Association, an organization active since 2014 with the aim of rediscovering talents and activities that have distinguished the territory of the Castelli Romani.
Art and craftsmanship are certainly not the exclusive heritage of Castelli, but the geographical location certainly influenced both the inspiration of the artists and the techniques of processing the artisanal artefacts. ArteMestieri Castelli Romani aims to aggregate artisanal and artistic excellence, sharing knowledge, experiences and even sources of inspiration and to create educational workshops, in collaboration with scholastic and cultural structures. The painter who will exhibit on Wednesday 19 June, from 8pm onwards, is Marzia Gianni.
Before the long-awaited meeting with the author, the ribbon cutting and the start of the eighth edition in the presence of organizers and authorities with the official inauguration at 8.30pm.
At 8.45pm Claudio Leoni and Giulio Mazzali will go on stage for the first appointment of the “Small prologue in verse”, a themed poetic introduction.
At 9pm Gianluca Gotto, writer and – as he himself likes to define himself – digital nomad, who shares his life and travel experiences through his writings, will talk about “When happiness begins”.
The book describes the importance of questions and the related search for answers. Often to find the answers it is necessary to leave, and in this sense the writer’s latest literary effort collects the questions that more than all have stirred something deep in his heart and in his mind. They are unusual questions, sometimes very specific, in other cases bizarre. They lead to reflection, but also to the desire to act to change things. They are often uncomfortable, even impertinent, but they are necessary to bring out from the internal chaos a starting point, an awareness, a sharp fragment of truth to be handled with care.
“Velletri Libris” enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region, the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the Municipality of Velletri and the Castelli Romani System, in collaboration with Fondarc.
