Observations presented on 12 June, this morning for the Circolo Vedo Verde Legambiente Cremona participated in the services conference as a listener Giovanna Perrotta.

Here is the text of the observations

Subject: Observations regarding the project for a new agricultural anaerobic digestion plant with a production capacity of 500 Sm3/h of biomethane to be built in the Municipality of CREMONA presented by Agripower Spa – A2a Group – [RIF. NEL SISTEMA INFORMATIVO REGIONALE S.I.L.V.I.A.: VIA0094-CR].

The Circolo Vedo Verde Legambiente Cremona, as a bearer of widespread interests in the territory, presents the following observations to the project in question.

1.

As noted in the evaluation phase of the previous application on behalf of FRAGEA SRL SOCIETA’ AGRICOLA, we recall the need to evaluate this new plant with respect to the need to prepare correct and sustainable territorial planning also in relation to the 156 plants already existing in the Province, in particular with regard to the short supply chain procurement of products to feed the plants themselves, adopting very intensive cultivation methods that are not very compatible with environmental well-being.

2.

The energy transition must certainly be pursued as well as the recovery, recycling and reuse of waste materials but the processes underlying these achievements must be governed, planned and programmed based on local needs and situations and cannot fail to take into account the serious environmental situation in the Po basin.
