The “1728 Gazzetta meets” event began with great enthusiasm, an event that for three days will spark dialogue between the great names of our newspaper and the public, in a context that celebrates the three hundred years of history of Italy’s first newspaper. A significant achievement, which has seen us talk about Parma and its territory for almost three centuries.

The central theme of the meeting was “The profession of the journalist today”. Three illustrious names from the Gazzetta took the floor: Domenico Cacopardo, Roberto Longoni and Filiberto Molossi, with the careful and punctual moderation of deputy director Stefano Pileri.

Cacopardo reflected on editorials, Longoni on news and Molossi on film criticism, highlighting how these sectors have evolved over time while keeping their essence intact. The meeting was enriched by numerous anecdotes that revealed the more human and entertaining side of the journalistic profession.

At 7pm, however, sport was discussed in the panel “The story of football: yesterday, today, tomorrow”. Journalists Antonio Dipollina and Fabio Monti were interviewed by director Claudio Rinaldi.

Dipollina, who is the author of the “Second Vision” column in the pages of our Sunday newspaper, is a television critic, writer and blogger. For over twenty years he has edited the “Multischermo” column for “Repubblica” and for over thirty “Schermaglie”, a similar weekly column dedicated to sport on TV. He is the author of volumes dedicated to sport and its protagonists.
Monti is another big name in Italian journalism. He worked at the “Gazzetta dello Sport”, at the “Corriere dello Sport” and, for almost thirty years, at the “Corriere della Sera”.

The “1728 Gazzetta meets” event continues in the next few days with other unmissable events, offering everyone the opportunity to discover the world of journalism up close
