During today’s appointment with L’Editoriale he spoke on the frequencies of TMW Radio Luca Marchetti. These are his words:
What impression have you had of Italy and the other big names up to this point?
“The predictions were respected, the most prominent teams did well. Bellingham scored, Mbappé made an impact, we saw a more vertical Spain and I must say that seeing Italy I saw a team that already behaves as a team. How is the Kvaratskhelia situation evolving at Napoli?
“The situation is complicated and there is no clarity. This is an extra thorn that adds to the situation of Di Lorenzo and that of Osimhen. We shouldn’t demonize anyone and no one is a saint, but we knew that Kvaratskhelia could be a problem. How many times have we talked about the renewal of Kvara? Without taking anyone’s defense but analyzing the facts, Kvaratskhelia arrives in Naples and proves to be an out of class player, helps Napoli win the Scudetto and is the most impressive surprise in our championship since Kakà. I understand a club that wants to defend the contract it made the player sign, but if that contract isn’t renewed it’s normal for discontent to arise and this makes you more susceptible to attack on the market. Kvaratskhelia’s request for renewal is legitimate and Napoli’s position is legitimate as they say they still have three years left on their contract and want to renew on his terms. The property then put Di Lorenzo on the market, we’re not saying that. Conte then wanted to lock him down, now they are trying to re-establish relations with Kvaratskhelia, but the environmental situation with Di Lorenzo is complex. How is it resolved? I don’t know, it takes a lot of diplomacy, a lot of patience and the awareness of having made mistakes.
