After almost two years of intensive work, the Bevazzana basin in Bibione, located in the municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento, has finally reopened its doors to navigation. This adaptation project for hydraulic safety involved the Civil Engineers of Venice and faced numerous obstacles, including adverse weather conditions and archaeological finds during wartime reclamations. Despite the challenges, the intervention was successfully completed, reconfirming the regional commitment to keeping navigation channels active and safe.
A bridge between Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia
The reopening offers boaters in the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions the opportunity to navigate freely through the Venetian coast, a vital artery that connects Venice to Trieste.
