Confindustria’s Small Industry, in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore, has launched a new edition of the Sustainable Business Award. Now in its third edition, the award intends to valorise small and medium-sized enterprises which, to respond to the challenges of this historical moment, have undertaken growth and development projects capable of guaranteeing the correct use of economic, environmental and human resources. Projects that offer lasting results over time, which satisfy the needs of the present generation without compromising those of future generations. Companies that have developed a project that meets the sustainability objective can apply by 22 September 2024, choosing up to a maximum of two from the following categories: senvironmental sustainability, which includes innovations and virtuous processes with a positive impact on the environment; digital sustainability, which looks at IT technologies and the way in which technology is developed with projects that contribute to the creation of a better world, both with respect to its nature and its instrumental role towards the environment, economy and society; economic sustainability, for the virtuous processes to generate jobs, maintain added value in the territory, combine resources effectively and promote lasting growth, giving sustenance to the territorial system; social sustainability, which includes actions and innovations to achieve real equity in society, with a diversity of actions that impact on a legal, economic and cultural level and inclusive sustainability – Design for all, dedicated to projects and initiatives for the creation of environments, products , buildings and solutions that are usable by all people, including those with disabilities, according to a universal design approach. For each category, a Commission specially appointed by Confindustria will select three winners who will be awarded at the Sustainability Forum on 23 October in Rome.
