The Prosecutor’s Office requests three dismissals

The Prosecutor’s Office has requested the dismissal of the positions of three suspects at large in the investigation into the murder of Salvatore Bramucci. This is the detail that emerged during the hearing of the trial of the 6 defendants, accused of multiple aggravated murder in conspiracy, which was held yesterday before the Court of Assizes of Viterbo presided over by judge Francesco Oddi.

This is the nephew of one of the alleged hitmen, Tonino Bacci; of Fabio Buti, a 44-year-old Roman, probably linked to Alessio Pizzuti by cohabitation relationships; and the former cellmate of the other alleged killer, Lucio La Pietra, a 47-year-old also from Rome. The first two men would have been investigated on charges of murder in collaboration with the other 6 defendants, while the third for aiding and abetting. More will be known about the issue in the weeks to come, but in the meantime the session was also dedicated to the hearings of the relatives of Lucio La Pietra, who allegedly took part in the execution of the 58-year-old criminal, shot dead with 5 gunshots while he was on board of his car on the morning of 7 August 2022 a few steps from his home in a countryside area in Soriano nel Cimino.

The witness

“When they arrested my husband I went crazy – said La Pietra’s wife -. Lucio wouldn’t even be able to shoot a water gun. I thought it was him from what I had read in the newspapers. On the day of the arrest the police searched our house and were looking for a green t-shirt and showed me a photo, but the person sitting on the passenger side of the Smart was thin. My husband, on the other hand, is robust.” Pressed by the questions of the prosecutor Massimiliano Siddi, aimed at deepening the meaning and context of some conversations had
with relatives and friends in the days following the arrest of her husband, captured in the wiretaps, especially in reference to the nickname “infamous”, uttered several times by the witness, the woman declared: “I thought that Alessio Pizzuti, who lives on the floor downstairs, had introduced Bacci to him. Only a month later, when I saw Lucio again, he told me that he already knew him”.
