“For us, pizza is a serious thing!”. This is the new project in the name of solidarity, created in collaboration between the Acaref Ets Foundation and the Apw Italia pizza chef school based in Ferrara. An initiative that brings together research and the art of pizza. Presenting on Monday morning at the Casa della Salute citadel of ‘San Rocco Ferrara, the details and contents of this new collaboration involving the Acaref Ets Foundation of Ferrara and Apw Italia. Present were Giampietro Domenicali, director of Acaref Ets and Piero Asaro, president of Apw Italia. The two associations are united by the theme of research. One for the scientific one on the one hand, as Acaref Ets has been supporting since 2016 through a project focused on ataxias, while Apw based in Ferrara is focused on research into the taste of pizza, which according to president Piero Asaro: “Not only is it best food in the world, but it also has the ability to bring people together and gather together.” This is a collaboration that will be structured through the conception and creation of pizza-themed evenings.
In detail, Apw will make available the technicians and professionals of pizza preparation, the raw materials, the labor and the tools, who will lend themselves completely free of charge for charitable fundraising events in favor of the Acaref Foundation. “You have to feel charity inside – says Piero Asaro – and this is the way in which we have decided to support this Ferrara institution.” The product that is presented and proposed will probably be pizza in pala, which will be distributed according to a scheduled calendar that will be best structured after the summer break. A collaboration which – according to Giampietro Domenicali: “will make us write history together. The project, in fact, starts from Ferrara as the city that unites the two realities, but from which it will subsequently expand to reach every part of Italy”. Emotions and great hopes were the two ingredients that filled during the presentation of the project, followed at the end by the tasting of a pizza on the shovel.
