LEGNANO – Various works will begin today, Monday 17 June, in Legnano which will impact traffic in the Oltrestazione district. Between via Marco Polo and via Venegoni interventions will be launched to support sustainable mobility for the creation of a porphyry extension in the first stretch of via Marco Polo and the reconstruction of the sidewalk that surrounds it clearing in front of the church of the Holy Martyrs, again with porphyry, thus extending the bottom that characterizes the open space. To allow this intervention via Marco Polo it will be closed to traffic all day until mid-July; residents will be able to access from via Flora.
Also starting today i core drilling works preparatory to the extension of the district heating network which they will entail, in the time slot 8.30-17.30roadway narrowings and, when necessary, the alternating one-way in the following streets: via Menotti in the stretch between via Vignati and via della Pace; Street of peace, in the stretch between via Menotti and via Novara; Street Novara in the stretch between the roundabouts at the intersection with via della Pace and via Giovanni Paolo II. For vehicles traveling along via Novara it will not be possible to turn into via della Pace. The work is expected to be completed by Friday 5 July.
New panels for the centre’s car parks
Three new digital variable message panels, which allow you to view the occupancy status in real time of the parking lot (in the photo above, one of them). They were installed and activated on Friday 14 June in the center of Legnano near the Matteotti/Gilardelli car parktwo on opposite sides of via Matteotti and one double-sided on via Gilardelli.
In the case of unavailable seats, the new panels will indicate to motorists with the aid of images thealternative to the nearby Cantoni car park, together with the number of free places within it; they will also warn you if both car parks are full.
Real-time information also on events
With this new technology, created by Sfhera di Montichiari together with Amga, it will also be possible to show service information in the event of particular events, like the Coppa Bernocchi and the Palio.
The installation of this new equipment, which completes the infomobility provision started a few years ago on Corso Sempione in correspondence with Via Savonarola, Foscolo and Volta, responds to the will of Amga and the municipal administration of make it easier for occasional or regular visitors to find a free parking space of the city center.
