“I moved house for this summer, from Rai 1 to Rai 3” thus begins the adventure of Maria Soave at Agorà Estate (anticipated by us to May). The continuity of Rai 3’s information since this morning passes through the soft style of the journalist, former presenter of Tg1 Mattina during the last TV season.
We remind you that Soave already has more than one morning experience behind her, in fact in 2022 she was the face of Unomattina again in its summer version, a program in which she was able to better shape her hosting style by tackling serious and light topics at the same time.

Here the one-way politics imposed by mood of Agora, leads the management to compete on a road that ends up being a dead end.
When we talk about political debate in a program like this, we have also been used to seeing a certain spirit in its development. Overlapping voices, controversies and sometimes even strong scenes (we remember a very heated clash between Sgarbi and Barbara Alberti a few years ago or Santanché who chose to abandon the controversial connection with the then presenter Monica Giandotti).
In this first episode none of this happened (and thank goodness), but can Soave be able to manage such a delicate situation? Maybe yes, maybe no.
And why this look beyond? There is a passage that seems superfluous to some and it is the phrase “Let’s talk one at a time, otherwise the audience at home won’t understand” said quickly by Soave herself during the speech of two guests from opposing factions (Brothers of Italy and Democratic Party) regarding the political scenarios after the European elections and in a moment of apparent raising of tone.
Here the presenter wants to immediately make one of the main rules clear: if it must be a public service, then it must be decent to the public. A gesture not to be underestimated given that in the past the writer has already made a point of underlining a tendency towards kind management by Soave.
An advantage which, however, can also be a flaw. In fact, the other side of the coin is the risk of softening the debate too much, boring the public. Perhaps a slightly more scathing approach can keep the viewer’s interest alive. This also applies to the interview (today with Professor – and former Prime Minister – Mario Monti), a comfort zone in which we find a more centered Soave.
Tommaso Giuntella is a guarantee
Special mention for Tommaso Giuntella, one who Agora he knows life, stories and externals. As a correspondent between the palaces of politics and around Italy, this summer – barring changes in the running – he will play his game at home, sorry, in the studio.
He was entrusted with the position of honor slow motion. From his touchscreen he colors the talk with some videos that broaden the debateoffering guests ideas and reflections relating to the topics discussed, enriching them with a smile. Curiosity: it’s not just his now iconic tie that entertains, it’s his remote control from which he simulates the broadcasting of films that makes the atmosphere lighter – often too rigid.
The Public Service of the future passes (also) through Marco Carrara
In the ‘Extra’ segment we find Marco Carrara, who has now become one workaholic. One of the few faces and talents (on which Rai must continue to focus) present in videos throughout the year, without breaks. Timeline it is now his strong point, Rai 3 his home. With high-level guests he managed to gain a considerable share of the public, which is no small feat.
The same popular audience that, thanks to a clear language accessible to everyonelearned about terms and news from the world of the web, informing and at the same time disclosing on the new one that advances. Today, together with the psychiatrist Paolo Crepet (not a coincidence, in fact), analyzed the problem of young people with violence and social media.
Data in hand, considerations, reflections and possible solutions, there is everything needed to perform a Public Service. He’s doing well in Carrara.
