REGGIO EMILIA – Fabia Maramotti offers entertainment and emotions in United States of America. The 28 year old athlete from Reggio Emilia won the Race Across the West 2024, race of approximately 1,400 km, with 16,000 meters of altitude difference. The ultra cycling competition began on Tuesday 11th with departure at Oceanside, California. The goal was to finish the route in the shortest time possible to arrive at Durango, Coloradopassing through Arizona and Utah.
Fabia Maramotti ranked at first place in the women’s ranking, fifth overall among all participants including male athletes. The Reggio Emilia concluded the journey in three days, one hour and 42 minutes. A race that did not hide any dangers for her: on the first day a heatstroke and a fall during the night slowed down her race, due to the rapid change in temperature when passing from one coast of the States to the other.
The 28-year-old from Reggio Emilia is supported by her staff coordinated by the coach Stefano Massa. Together with them Michelangelo Biondi, Guido Petrucci and Andrea Bauce. For Fabia Maramotti, she is already looking forward to the next event: the athlete will be the protagonist of the Eaglexmanrace in the ironman extreme category, which will be held in the second half of July in Abruzzo.
