On the morning of Saturday 15 June, staff of the Administrative Team of the Padua Police Headquarters notified the provision signed by the Police Commissioner of the Province of Padua Marco Odorisio, suspending the license for the exercise of gaming collection at a VLT room located in Maserà di Padova.
The Administrative Team staff, during an inspection, found a series of illicit conduct which led to the issuing of the sanction by the Police Commissioner.
In particular, prejudicial behavior emerged by the manager who had locked the access door of the public establishment in clear violation of the principle of surveillance of the premises, despite the fact that inside there were two patrons intent on playing.
Once the officers had accessed the interior, in addition to finding the presence of the two customers, they ascertained violations of the Regional Law which aims to promote intentions aimed at preventing, combating and reducing gambling risks: in fact, from a careful inspection, it was ascertained that 12 video terminals were turned on, in violation of the legislative provision which provides for their switching off in the 6.00/8.00 pm time slot.
A further violation found concerned the presence of POS terminal for electronic payments with debit and credit cards.
The control activity then highlighted the failure to comply with the provisions of the art. 8 TULPS regarding representation in the exercise of a police authorization: in fact, at the time of the inspection the room was led by a person, a Chinese citizen born in 1974, not authorized by the Public Security Authority which issued the license; for this reason the same will be referred to the Judicial Authority.
Furthermore, failure to comply with legislation was also found protection of the health of non-smokers as in the room, where there is a smoking area, the door dividing the two areas has been removed.
Considering therefore that the public business, on the basis of the factual circumstances found, does not appear to be conducted in line with the provisions of the legislation in force, constituting an element of concrete and current danger and, having recognized the need to urgently provide for the temporary suspension of the activity to interrupt the overall situation of illegality found, the license of the owner of the business, a 27-year-old Chinese citizen, was suspended for 30 days. cdn/AGIMEG
