UDINE / The imprint of a running shoe: this is the new logo of the International City of Udine Marathon which will represent the 2024 edition. The competition will be held on Sunday 22 September, concluding two days dedicated to sport. The very expressive design was conceived and created by Stefania Desirello, a student of the Graphics Course at Civiform in Cividale. The Udinese Marathon Association has been collaborating with Civiform for years for the creation of the annual logos.
A logo chosen by social media and by the jury
The new logo was selected through a vote on social media, which determined the first screening among the 20 sketches in the competition. The final choice, difficult given the quality of the works, was entrusted to a technical jury made up of staff from the Graphics Course and external experts. The jury rewarded Desirello’s work and also assigned other positions on the podium to Nicole Baschini, Giulia Aiza and Asia Costantini, making the podium entirely female.
Awards and recognitions
The winner was announced recently during the awards ceremony of the fifth round of the Coppa Friuli, organized by the Udinese Marathon Association. The four finalists, welcomed by the runners’ applause, were accompanied by the general director of Civiform, Chiara Franceschini.
The numerous prizes offered by Città Fiera, Intersport Mega and Conad thrilled the students, who did not expect such generosity. Present at the ceremony were, among others, the vice-president of the Maratonina Udinese Venanzio Ortis, the sports councilors of the Municipality of Martignacco Alex Pinzan and of Udine Chiara Dazzan, the director of the Città Fiera Stefano Beltramini and the president of the Fair Play Committee Giuliano Gemo.
