This was pointed out by Fratelli d’Italia Senator Domenico Matera in relation to the initiative undertaken by the Campania Region with the publication of the Notice of start of the procedure for the assignment of the cultivation of the Quarry in the Fossa delle Nevi area.
“We take note, sharing them deeply, of the concerns of the Community of Durazzano regarding programs that are, to say the least, difficult to understand.
We will be firm – continues Matera – with respect to activities that aim to make use of the territory exclusively as an indiscriminate instrument of economic profit without taking into account the landscape-naturalistic context and without taking into account the consequent negative repercussions that would have on the District.
Once again, initiatives are being implemented that are divorced from a careful, conscious and responsible reading of the environmental context and its dynamics. We invite the Campania Region to be more attentive to concrete cases and to analyze its choices on “Fossa delle Nevi” in a more thoughtful manner. From now on I announce – Senator Domenico Matera begins to conclude – my full support for institutions and associations with respect to any initiative they wish to undertake in the direction of safeguarding the territory and its communities”.
