Car accident shortly after 5pm today, Sunday 16 June, inside the Montenegrone Gallerynear Gavarno in the province of Bergamo. The road was closed after a head-on collision between two cars: three injured, one apparently injured serious conditions.
Accident in Montegrone Tunnel, three injured
From initial information, it appears that the accident involved two cars. Three people were injured: a 29-year-old young man, a 52-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man.
One of the injured people was transported to hospital in code red, therefore in danger of life. The others, fortunately, have a green code: they have only suffered minor traumas.
For them only a great scare but no significant physical damage.

The arrival of help and the closure of the Val Seriana state road
The operations center is on siteAreu (Regional Emergency Emergency Agency) sent two medical vehicles and three ambulances. I also attended fire fighters.
The tunnel was closed to allow assistance to the injured people.
On the State road of Val Seriana traffic was blocked and long queues formed.
The dynamics of the accident to be reconstructed
Together with the rescuers, the carabinieri of the Bergamo Company.
It will be up to them to reconstruct in detail the dynamics of the accident. What is certain at the moment is only that the impact between the two cars occurred very violent.
It is not clear whether the driver of one of the two cars was caused by distraction or illness. The hypothesis of distracted driving is also on the table.
Unfortunately, on the weekend of 15 and 16 June, northern Italy was the scene of several road accidents with serious consequences for the people involved. Yesterday, for example, a 35-year-old woman lost her life by running off the road near Bologna.
