Third place and bronze medal for Mattia Riggi from Nisseno (Fiamme Oro) at the Under 15 European Weightlifting Championships in Thessaloniki – il Fatto Nisseno

CALTANISSETTA. Great news for weightlifting and Nisseno sport arrives from Thessaloniki in Greece. Here, Mattia Riggi, in the Under 15 European Weightlifting Championship, the young athlete from Nisse from the Fiamme Oro section of Caltanissetta won the bronze medal.

Accompanied by the national team coaches, Mattia lifted a total of 84 kilograms of snatch and 95 of momentum, recording a total result of 1079 kg which earned him third place in Europe. A very long competition that lasted a good two hours where all the finalists competed against each other. the first positions, but the desire of the Fiamme Oro athlete, trained by the technicians Maurizio Sardo and Mirco Scarantino, was to win a European medal; a dream that came true thanks to Mattia Riggi who, with his talent, has now accustomed everyone to these splendid results.
