On Saturday 22 June, starting at 8.00 pm, the Rivoli Theater in Mazara del Vallo is preparing to welcome an unmissable event: the XXXVIII performance of the famous Dance Works dance school. Guest of honor and presenter of the evening: Daria Biancardi.
A unique event that will feature students of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, in a whirlwind of emotions and talent that will celebrate the beauty and expressiveness of dance.
The evening will open with the classical dance of Pink Barbieland; the contemporary dance show will follow “Voila, it’s my voice, my cry”, a powerful and touching choreography that aims to give voice to the fight against gender violence. A message of denunciation and awareness that will translate into an explosion of movement and energy, inviting the public to reflect on a plague that is still too present in our society. Then it will be time for Hip Hop with the original and disruptive choreography of Amir Boubaker.
The second contemporary show, the true highlight of the evening, “Pink Barbieland”, will instead be dedicated to Barbie’s controversial female universe and the fight against patriarchy. An ironic, irreverent but also very entertaining reflection on the role of women in today’s society, through dance and bodily expression.
The XXXVIII Dance Works performance promises to be an unmissable event for all dance lovers and for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of great emotion and involvement. A unique opportunity to admire the talent and passion of the school’s students, on a journey through the different dance styles and their profound messages.
