Florence, 16 June 2024 – From the homage to Tiziano Terzani, to a story that takes place in the years following the Matteotti crime. It is a journey through the pages of history that the public will be able to experience Rose Garden, which becomes a literary salon for four evenings. As part of the Fiorentina Summer, in collaboration with the cultural association Febbre e Lancia, the events with the Cabinet Vieusseuxthis time with an en plein air exhibition in this new location with breathtaking views of the city.

Four meetings are scheduled, all on Tuesday, at 6 pm and Free admission. We leave on June 18th with the original voice of Patrizia Valduga, in dialogue with Marco Marchi, for an excursus into the world of his poetry but also in that of his translations, starting also from the recent “Sade. Philosophy in the boudoir” (Einaudi, 2023). June 25th it will be the turn of a tribute to Tiziano Terzani, on the twentieth anniversary of his death, with Angela Terzani Staude in dialogue with Raffaele Palumbo. “The age of enthusiasm” will be presented. My life with Tiziano” (Longanesi, 2022), a passionate and unpublished story of an extraordinary couple. Angela Staude Terzani, in recounting with sincerity and emotion the first forty years of two lives inextricably intertwined with the events that marked the twentieth century, entrusting us in this memoir with her enthralling love story with her husband Titian. A couple that matures and consolidates by facing both personal and sentimental difficulties and the problems of a generation and a society in the strenuous search for identity and values. Jacopo Storni will then present “Tiziano Terzani mi sai” (Ediciclo Editore, 2024), an equally unpublished portrait of the great journalist and writer through the places of his soul. The 2nd of July, in collaboration with the Tuono Pettinato Foundation, space for the graphic novel with Marco Taddei and La Came, authors of “Malanotte. The Curse of the Pantafa ”(Coconino Press, 2022), a refined and disturbing Gothic tale, written by one of the best Italian screenwriters and beautifully drawn by one of the most promising authors of his generation: the Florentine Laura Camelli (La Came). The authors will dialogue with Guido Siliotto. The review ends on July 9th with Nicoletta Verna who, in dialogue with the president of the Gabinetto Vieusseux Riccardo Nencini, will tell us about her “The days of glass” (Einaudi, 2024), an intense and courageous book that questions our fragility and our stubborn hope in the face of to the scandal of history. It tells of Redenta, born in Castrocaro on the day of the Matteotti crime. This is how the story of her family, of her people and of a page in the history of Italy begins.
