The press conference on the 10 projects of the Cdo Sicilia supply chains and their development activities for local businesses was held in the Camplus d’Aragona auditorium, in via Monsignor Ventimiglia, 184, in Catania by the Compagnia delle Opere Sicilia coordinators . 10 supply chains of the driving sectors of the economy for 10 coordinators on: Energy, Construction, Healthcare, Tourism and the Sea, Innovation and European tenders, Etna & Sicily, Freelancers, Internationalisation, Artisans, Industrialists and traders.

The director of the Compagnia delle Opere Sicilia, Claudia Fuccio, opened the proceedings by placing emphasis on the operations of the companies that are within the association, a place not only of thought, but above all of operations for the Sicilian territory. Cdo Sicilia is also inclusive of new innovative entrepreneurial realities that are quick to intercept European funds, coordinated by Danilo Mirabile and Natasha Arcifa. Mirabile underlined how “The Innovation chain, a safeguard for the study and application of cutting-edge solutions, is dedicated to involving and leading CDO members through the necessary processes of evolution and change that allow them to respond effectively and sustainably to the challenges of the market , guiding the Sicilian territory towards new horizons of growth and competitiveness”.

Not only businesses, but also professional levels within the Cdo Sicilia coordinated by Lucia Tuccitto and Salvatore Rigaglia. Lawyer Tuccitto underlined how: “The chain of freelancers is a multidisciplinary network that brings together professional figures of all levels. Yet in recent years the construction sector, which has always been the economic locomotive of our country, especially in the south, has remained at the mercy, not only of the economic crisis, but also of a political class which, on the backs of the construction sector, has fought . Now, after the super bonus hangover, the construction sector is trying to reorganize itself and start again… Brick by brick”.

Let’s not forget that Sicily is an island with great opportunities therefore, particular attention to the sea, to the territory with two supply chains: Tourism and Sea, entrusted to Toti La Rosa and Etna&Sicily coordinated by Seby Costanzo. In his speech, Toti La Rosa said: “CAG initiative which aims to enhance the potential of our coastal territory and promote the tourism sector as a driver of economic growth. This project represents a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate and innovate, creating synergies that will strengthen the competitiveness of our economic system.” To counteract and give strength to the concept of territoriality, Seby Costanzo will organize a major event on wine in November since Catania will be nominated as a city of wine and in 2025 the Sicilian region will be agri-food excellence for Europe.
