On the pages of ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, GB Olivero spoke about the official arrival of Paulo Fonseca on the bench of Milan. Here are his words on the choice of the Rossoneri.

Milan coach, the choice is Fonseca. Olivero’s thoughts

“At this moment Milan wants to grow and compete respecting the philosophy of sustainability and young people. And therefore Fonseca is a logical profile. The club’s hope is that the Portuguese will do what Simone Inzaghi managed at Inter or, in a different dimension, Thiago Motta at Bologna: significantly raise the team’s level by making the players improve individually and inserting them into a tactical context that you exalt them. Fascinating project, but not easy to implement also because the Rossoneri need four important additions: right back, central defender, midfielder, center forward. Ibra’s blessing is important, these purchases much more. Otherwise the ambitions would be immediately scaled back and certainly not the fault of the coach. It is not obligatory to win, but to compete to do so: it is Ibra’s mentality, it is Milan’s history. And so that’s what we expect.” READ ALSO: Milan, Theo Hernandez and the mood of the fans: here is the reaction on social media
