ANCONA – Intervention of the police car in Corso Garibaldi due to loud music. It all happened at 01.45 on Thursday night, when a police car on patrol in the center of Ancona had to intervene following reports from residents of the neighborhood who were complaining about very loud music.

The regulation and the request

In Corso Garibaldi a place had organized an evening with music and many young people were present who had had dinner or had an aperitif. The owner declared that he had made a request for authorization (SCIA) to carry out the organized evening until midnight, while the agents found that the music was played at high volume at 1.35 am, well after midnight, therefore, in violation of the municipal noise regulation.

Sound impact

The Administrative and Security staff of the Police Headquarters therefore complained to the owner, a 44 year old man from Ancona, for the failure to adopt, in the authorization request, a sound impact assessment plan, based on the provisions of the framework law of 1995 nr.447 on noise pollution. It was also verified that other residents of the neighborhood had, in recent weeks, filed a complaint in relation to the loud music emitted from the premises at night which prevented them from resting. The report of the administrative violation, which provides for a fine of 1000 euros, was notified to the owner yesterday.
