By bike from Mappano to Turin: the dream becomes reality!

Big news for sustainable mobility in Mappano! The Board of Mayor Francesco Grassi approved, during the session on Wednesday 2 June, the executive project for the construction of a new cycle path that will connect the town with Turin.

An important project that is part of a broader commitment to sustainable mobility and environmental protection.

The new cycle path will connect to the section already under construction by the Metropolitan Cityalong the Falchera flyover.

“This is a project – explained the councilor for public works, Massimo Tornabenewhich we shared, in its entirety, with the City of Turin and aimed at connecting, from the roundabout of Via Galilei, along the eastern stretch of Via Rivarolo which runs alongside the European Union Park, our inhabited center with the capital and therefore the areas environmental areas of Mappano with the Parco dei Laghetti and the Cascina Falchera hub.”

A safe and protected itinerary that will allow the people of Mappano to reach Turin by bicycle, avoiding vehicular traffic and helping to reduce air pollution. Furthermore, the project will be free of charges for citizens.

“This is an intervention – goes on Good to gowhich we will be able to achieve without costs for the people of Mappano but thanks to the ability, already amply demonstrated by the municipal machine, to acquire non-repayable contributions”.

The work, in fact, will cost approximately 271,000 euros, and will be entirely financed by non-repayable contributions. The tender will be completed by the summer, with the aim of starting work at the beginning of autumn.
