“Last night I was quoted by councilor Cosenza in his press release. In addition to feeling a certain annoyance at seeing a private conversation clumsily reported publicly, I find myself forced to make some clarifications.” Thus in a note Emanuele Nebbia Colomba, group leader of We are the Gulf of Poets in the Lerici city council. “I confirm that I acted as an intermediary for a meeting between him and the ANPI board last April – continues the opposition councilor -. While I am not entitled, having no role in Anpi Lerici, to report the reasons he gives and misrepresents. Also, some personal considerations: if the councilor cares about the democratic values of freedom and anti-fascism he should recant some of his positions: take a stand against the exclusion of Falconara space from the parties made by mayor Paoletti; he should have voted in favor of the motion to name a city street after the partisan Rudolf Jacobs (he voted against); he should have voted in favor of the motion to name a city street after Gino Strada (he voted against); but above all not a word on the mayor’s support, supported by his vote, for the Brothers of Italy, a party that daily repudiates anti-fascism”
Nebbia Colomba concludes: “Now I would like to go back to talking about more salient issues (and perhaps more interesting for the electorate) such as the urban plan, the overbuilding of the hills, the slowness of public works in progress, the abandonment of young people in the area”.
