It relates the research work that takes place in the classrooms of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna with the market dynamics that play out in the galleries of the area, the widespread festival Open tour, this year in its tenth edition, which presents the works of students of the Department of Visual Arts and Design and Applied Arts in 28 exhibition venues, including galleries and private spaces. Scheduled from 18 to 23 June 2024the event is curated for the third consecutive year by Carmen Lorenzetti and Giuseppe Lufrano, and also offers collateral events and special projects.

Is titled Young talents in the gallery the central event of the festival which Thursday 20 June will inaugurate the exhibitions hosted in the city’s galleries of the students of the two-year and last year of the three-year courses of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna. In collaboration with the Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries, the occasion sees the participation of important historical and more recent realities in the promotion of the most emerging research; among these, AF Gallery, Fifty Six Art Gallery, Enrico Gallery, Stefano Forni Gallery, Studio Cenacchi Gallery, Studio G7 Gallery, L’ARIETE artecontemporanea, P420, Studio la Linea Verticale and the rooom.

The tenth edition of “Opentour” in Bologna. The Art Up 2024 award
It’s scheduled Saturday 22 June the prize announcement will be held at 6pm Art Up 2024, which will be awarded within the Corte del Terribilia of the Academy of Fine Arts by the Zucchelli Foundation. The jury, chaired by the artistic director of MAMbo Lorenzo Balbi and composed by the collector Enea Righi and by critics and curators Eva Brioschiwill award three prizes – critics’ prize, collectors’ prize, prize for graphics and illustration – to the works that thanks to these will be acquired in the collections of the financiers (such as Banca di Bologna, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna and Collezione Falconi Leidi of Bergamo ).

They are different collateral events hey special projects which involve the public and private entities of Bologna and the province during the festival: among these, the exhibition What exists, where it cannot be seencurated by the Fiftips collective at the Kappa_Nöun space in San Lazzaro di Saven, which involves the second year of the two-year period of Didactics and Cultural Mediation of Artistic Heritage and the three-year period of Sculpture; Poster for the City @ manifestipolitici.it at the Gramsci Foundation in Bologna, curated by Danilo Danisi and Carlo Branzaglia, which involves the three-year course in Graphic Design; And Designin the covered square of the Salaborsa Library, where you can visit the exhibition of the artistic projects of the biennium of Scenography and installations of exhibition and museum spaces and of Scenography of the opera theater and musical performance, curated by Rosanna Fioravanti, Fabio Marchese, Carlo Messori, Marcello Morresi and Elisa Tranfaglia.
