Sanremo. «A week of great pedaling begins, then I really like pedaling uphill». This is what the mayoral candidate says Alessandro Mager of the civic coalition, on the sidelines of the event “Let’s embrace the cycle path”.
The obvious reference is to the ballot, which sees the aspiring tenant of Palazzo Bellevue having to recover almost 10 percentage points over his opponent Gianni Rolando. The road is actually uphill but Mager is determined and confident in his comeback.
This morning, around the candidate for mayor of Sanremo, starting from the South East, there were many supporters and candidate councillors, the majority on bicycles, to take part in a ride on the cycle path that took them to Villa Helios and then back on their own steps (or on their own wheels) until they reached La Vesca.
“An election campaign morning dedicated to discovering the wonderful cycle-pedestrian path, physical activity, being together and having fun” we read in the invitation to the event. Mager himself does not hesitate to define the coastal cycle path as «A fihours in the crown of Sanremo, we need not only to deal with it, but to relaunch it in terms of tourism because it is an extraordinary “asset” that has changed the lifestyle of many people”.
