The criminals made too much noise when, during the night between Friday and Saturday, they broke into the Lucky bar in via San Zeno, in Brescia Due, with the intention of stealing money and perhaps some household appliances.
Their incursion into the place, first forcing a shutter and then shattering the entrance glass window, alarmed a resident of the area who, assuming what was happening, did not hesitate and called the single emergency number 112.
State Police officers rushed to the scene and managed to catch two thieves in flagrante delicto just as they were trying to steal the cash fund. The couple, made up of a 50-year-old citizen of Egyptian origins and a 40-year-old Tunisian, attempted to escape through the windows but the police action was effective and the two were blocked. The officers recovered what was stolen, also finding various tools suitable for burglary and discovering that the thieves, with numerous precedents behind them, had used a car resulting from a theft that had occurred the day before for the robbery. The investigative activity will allow us to verify whether the vehicle was also used in other similar episodes in the hours preceding the blitz in via San Zeno. The two criminals, who according to some hypotheses may have acted together with two other subjects, were handcuffed for aggravated theft in competition.
