The protagonists of the Circolo della Stampa/Pesaro 2024 Award come from Arizona, Los Angeles, Seattle and Rome. They are an actress, an astrophysicist, a biologist and a top manager, the recipients of the 38th edition of the recognition, reserved for those from Pesaro (by birth, adoption, origins and honoraria) who have achieved particular merits, in this case, in the scientific, artistic and managerial fields. They are: Anna Maria Alberghetti, soprano and actress, “for having made all of us discover that America really existed” (Award on video); Marco Andreani, biologist, new president of the European Federation of Immunogenetics, “for the culmination of a high profile life full of dedication and work lived with the normality of everyday city life”. Ilaria Pascucci, astrophysicist, professor of planetary sciences at the University of Arizona, “for having allowed Pesaro to invade America without firing a shot, occupying a fundamental strategic position” Valeria Pascucci, top manager of Amazon, Seattle headquarters “for having allowed Pesaro to invade America without firing a shot, occupying a fundamental strategic position”; Valerio Rossi Albertini Tiranni, physicist and scientific communicator, “in recognition of a professional excellence that places him at the forefront of our future knowledge”. Furthermore: “Orgoglio Pesarese” Award to the historian Girolamo Allegretti. “Special” award, dedicated to anniversaries, to the Paci family, 30 years after the passing of Rag. Ubaldo Paci, victim of the Uno Bianca gang. The Circolo della Stampa/Pesaro Award is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, the Province of Pesaro-Urbino, the Municipality of Pesaro and the national and regional Orders of Journalists.
The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday 19 June, at 5.30 pm, in the Auditorium of Palazzo Montani Antaldi, headquarters of the Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro Foundation. Free entry while places last.
