LIVORNO. On the same day, from the European elections to the municipal elections, the center-right lost 7,522 votes. From the 23,373 votes gathered for the composition of the Strasbourg Parliament by the Brothers of Italy, the League, Forza Italia-Noi Moderati (and Action, given that at a local level it supported the mayoral candidate Alessandro Guarducci) to the 15,851 of the “Renewal” coalition, which in addition to the three parties, it also includes the “Guarducci mayor’s list”, which attracted 4.24% of the votes, 2,904 in total. This is what emerges from the numbers on the voting trend in the last local elections, in which the outgoing mayor Luca Salvetti was reconfirmed as first citizen of Labronia without the need for a run-off.
Center-right collapse
Fratelli d’Italia lost 41.9% of the votes, the League 33.1%, Forza Italia 41.6%, while the total – partly balanced by the “Guarducci mayor’s list” – marks a -32, 2%. There are 16,281, a little more than the votes collected by the individual lists, the people of Livorno who overall indicated Guarducci as the future mayor, 22.48%, while Salvetti – as is known – won with 51.74 votes. It is important to point out that there is always a certain difference between the votes in the European elections and those in the municipal elections, given that in the latter there are more civic lists and the indication can be separated, but the numerical data, in the thousands, indicates a clear change of direction of the centre-right electorate.
Popular alternative
Alternativa Popolare, however, gained some votes, a symbol that was chosen by 851 Livorno citizens at the European elections, totaling 1.19%, a higher figure than the national average, also thanks to the Livorno nature of its president, Stefano Bandecchi. The two lists that supported Costanza Vaccaro, elected to the council, in the administrative elections received 2,935 votes, more than triple.
Salvetti earns
If the Democratic Party as a party loses something – 26,043 in the European elections, 23,123 in the municipal elections – as does the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra (from 6,266 to 2,787), Luca Salvetti gains. Because the 6,399 missing votes are compensated and surpassed by “Livorno civica” (5,687), “Protagonists for the city” (3,192) and “Reformists for the future” (823). Allowing, in fact, the final victory to the outgoing mayor, who triumphed in all sections except Gorgona.
They also lose the 5s
Even the 5 Star Movement, from the European to the municipal ones, has lost consensus. It started from 8,839 votes for the Strabourg Parliament, with 12.33%, reaching 5,389 (7.87%) for the same list in the administrative elections. L
