Imola, 15 June 2024 – Cattle, donkeys and many other animals from farm on display. Space for songs and stories of the Romagna tradition; without forgetting 0 km fruit and vegetables and many workshops for adults and children. All accompanied by typical local dishes. The twelfth edition of the event was inaugurated yesterday evening in the park of the Sante Zennaro complex Santerno agricultural fair.
Ribbon cutting entrusted to the deputy mayor Fabrizio Castellari, to the councilor for Economic Development and Agriculture, Pierangelo Raffini, to the president of the Canale dei Mulini di Imola Consortium, Giordano Zambrini and representatives of agricultural associations. Bishop Giovanni Mosciatti imparted the usual blessing. The fair will also be open today from 9am to 11pm and tomorrow from 9am to 9pm. Entrance is free.
“This fair has always been a high level event, which has achieved regional prominence. A complete event which, in addition to sector operators, involves all generations and makes families and children protagonists”, underlines Deputy Mayor Castellari. “It is a celebration of the five senses and of families, in particular of children who, through workshops and direct contact with the reality of the countryside they can live unique experiences in total safety – continues Councilor Raffini –. It’s also a moment of exchange of ideas and culture with numerous events and even dialect shows to keep the tradition alive”.
In the words of Zambrinithis weekend’s event in Sante Zennaro will instead be based on “the valorization of the territory and its excellence which will see numerous entrepreneurial activities exhibiting and selling their products, this with a view to restarting and rebirth after the 2023 flood “.
Thanks to the collaboration with Hera, the ‘Urban Source’ returns to the fair from which refrigerated natural and sparkling water will be supplied free of charge, avoiding the circulation of disposable bottles. The advice is therefore to bring your own water bottle or glass.
Confirmed again this year free shuttle to and from the fair, departing from the car parks in the Lungofiume area and in Via Tiro a Segno.
