Prophets at home: Stefano Pellicanò and Amedeo Morlacchetti from Termoli won the 39th City of Termoli Trophy, national bowls competition, Couple specialty, organized by the ASD Madonna delle Grazie Termoli of president Gianfranco Di Fonso.
The standard bearers of the organizing club beat, at the end of a very balanced final, the couple from Campania, formed by Giuseppe Ferrara (formerly Monforte Campobasso) and Vincenzo Iaccarino of the Città di Nola club. The very final was exciting, ending with a dizzying last round for Pellicanò and Muchetti who, down 10-8, won the four decisive points of overtaking and the final 10-12.
Third position for the Lazio couple from ASD Gaeta, made up of Antonio Salone and Enzo Espositore. Fourth place for Giovanni Marrone and Agostino Mogavero of ASD Apice.
Fifth and seventh place for two other couples from the Madonna delle Grazie Termoli: Nazzareno Morlacchetti and Caterina Morlacchetti (fifths), Giuseppe Fratangelo and Rino Pietronigro (seventh). Among them, Valentino Grieco and Stefano Barbato of ASD Padulese.
The match director was the national referee Domenico Di Natale of AIAB Pescara; the field referees, however, Tiziano Muchetti and Renato Mobilia.
Present at the finals and awards ceremonies was the President of FIB Molise, Giuseppe Formato, who, in agreement with the number one of the Giallorossi club of Via Asia, made an appointment for the 40th edition, for which work will be done so that an event of close-up with the participation of some of the big blues of the bowling discipline.
