The hate campaign of the League’s mayoral candidate against a respectable and competent boy like Vincenzo Telesca continues unabated. The fear of having to give up control over the city they have exploited is so strong that they are using every means to try to hold on to their seats. Lying attacks, full of insults, social hatred and small not-so-veiled threats: these are the ingredients that qualify those who are using them.
Potenza is a city of inclusion, hospitality and respectable people. These attacks damage the honorability of Vincenzo Telesca, who has the sole fault of being the one who will send this corrupt system home. But they hurt Fanelli and the city above all. Potenza does not recognize itself in these hooligan attitudes and next Sunday and Monday the people of Potenza will demonstrate this by voting en masse for a respectable person, a person who loves this city: Vincenzo Telesca.
Rather than attack, evidently having no political arguments with which to defend himself, Fanelli answers some simple questions:
– Is it true that for the first time in the history of Basilicata, healthcare, under your leadership, was placed under commissionership last month?
– Is it true that to avoid the continuation of the commissionership even in this period of the electoral campaign, the Region had to repay 50 million euros due to Fanelli’s management?
– Is it true that to pay that deficit, resources deriving from environmental compensation for oil extraction by Eni and Shell were used, funds initially intended for the gas bonus for non-methane recipients?
– Is it true that the Lega-led ministry was asked to settle the Lucanian healthcare accounts by 30 June, i.e. a few days after the vote in the next runoff?
– Is it true that for the current year a deficit equal to, if not higher than, the one just paid of 50 million euros is expected? Where will these resources be taken from?
– Is it true that Lucanian healthcare is characterized by endless waiting lists and that, when you call to book even the smallest or most urgent service, the average waiting time can be as long as a year?
– Finally, precisely because we don’t like political politics, but citizens want to understand if Fanelli is a candidate for an armchair or to be at the service of the community: it is true that, in the event of a probable defeat, he will renounce his seat as opposition municipal councilor to go to the Region to be the majority regional councilor, not caring about the role for which he is a candidate in the next ballot?
Well, if the answer to just one of these questions is different from being true, then we are ready to apologize. But if it is true, as it is true, that the only possible answer to these questions, sadly possible, is that it is all true, then Fanelli stop offending Telesca. Citizens aren’t fooled anyway.
