«Berghem my mill». Seriana and Serina valleys, roads closed

It will be a Sunday of sport and celebration, with some possible inconvenience to the road system: the «Berghem my mill», the granfondo of rebirth, which reaches its fifth edition this year. The start, as in previous years, is in Gazzaniga. THE 1,600 registered cyclists (the possibility of registering has been closed for days and the organizers have decided to welcome one hundred more people than initially expected) they will divide on the roads of three different routes: the short (72.3 kilometres), the medium (115) and the long (183, with the novelty of the randonée formula).

Only the routes short and medium will involve closures on the roads affected by the passage of the first runner for an hour, while the long one – with the exception of the stretch it shares with the medium route – will take place on roads that can also be traveled by cars. The short route from Gazzaniga heads towards Nembro and from here goes up to Selvino, where you will find the first refreshment point. The arrival on the plateau is expected at 8, so the road should reopen around 9.

The cyclists will continue towards Serina, Oltre il Colle and from here to the Zambla Pass, where the second refreshment point will be found (scheduled here between 9.30 and 10.30). From here the descent to Ponte Nossa and the return to Gazzaniga (around 10.10 am). The medium route will also go up first to Selvino, then to the Zambla Pass, but from Ponte Nossa it will instead head towards Clusone (around 10.05) and Lovere (where there will be another refreshment point, around 10.45). The route continues along the lake towards Castro and Riva di Solto (passage at 11.05), then climbs to Solto Collina, Endine, Ranzanico and Bianzano. At Passo Forcella the road should close around 12 and from here the granfondo will end by descending towards Cene and Gazzaniga. From Clusone the long route differs from the medium one, on roads that will no longer be closed.
