“Children in the Chamber” competition of the city council, Mancuso “be proud of your origins”

“Discovering Calabria also means better understanding who we are and where we come from, essential elements for growing as citizens aware of being part of a common destiny.

Through the competition dedicated to the memory of Fabiana Luzzi, the sixteen-year-old victim of feminicide in 2013, we hope that you young people will be proud of your origins and be ambassadors of our traditions and our culture”.

The president of the Regional Council Filippo Mancuso said this, speaking at Palazzo Campanella at the final event of the regional competition “Children in the classroom” during which the schools and young students who achieved first place in the various categories were awarded prizes.

This year the competition, with the theme “Calabria to discover – Villages, Traditions and Characters”, invited students to create a drawing to represent the chosen themes, accompanied by a brief description.

President Mancuso, addressing the children, added: “We are convinced that your participation in this project can contribute to strengthening the bond between the school and the institutions, creating a continuous and constructive dialogue, knowing that to face the challenges of our time human capital is one of the main factors of growth and innovation”.
