Intervene in risky situations involving infants and children, spread the correct maneuvers on the airways, as well as resuscitation procedures in the event that the obstruction causes cardiac arrest.
These are the main objectives of the free course offered by Dussmann Srl, with the patronage of the Municipality of Rimini, and in which more than seventy teachers and staff from municipal and state childcare services participated, in particular those who work with girls and children between 0 and 6 years.
Dussmann Service (which deals with school canteens) and the Municipality of Rimini have chosen to organize a specialist meeting in the direction of the prevention of the health, safety and well-being of girls and boys and of staff working in educational services. The theme chosen was that of unblocking and pediatric first aid, to give a solid imprint on the techniques that allow intervention in risk situations involving infants and children. In collaboration with a specialized partner, the course was organized with the aim of disseminating the correct maneuvers on the airways, as well as the resuscitation procedures in the event that the obstruction causes cardiac arrest.
“A real health education project – explained the deputy mayor with responsibility for educational policies Chiara Bellini in her welcoming speech – which addresses delicate and frequent issues in pediatric age, but which with rapid and precise recognition can prevent even fatal consequences. The Administration’s objective, thanks to the collaboration and partnership of Dussmann – which I thank – is to spread the knowledge of these simple life-saving techniques through training, in order to reduce the phenomenon and its consequences. These projects also include the raising of the quality of educational services, the strengthening of staff skills and the safety of the youngest children.”.
