Pesaro.- In the evocative setting of the Teatro Sperimentale of Pesaro, the short film “Gli Elefanti” was presented, the latest cinematic effort by director/firefighter Antonio Maria Castaldo. Acting as host was the Director of the Marche Fire Brigade Cristina D’Angelo, who welcomed the Head of the National Corps Carlo Dall’Oppio accompanied by the Prefect of Pesaro Urbino Emanuela Saveria Greco, present at the “premiere” together with the provincial commanders of the region .

The Chief of the Dall’Oppio Corps in his speech highlighted how being a firefighter was shown in an exemplary manner in the film, made up of professionalism and humanity at the same time, fully capturing the sense of empathy that in the director’s intention it wanted to be the underlying theme of the screenplay.

The screening of the short film, which, it should be remembered, was filmed in the province of Ancona, between the municipalities of Jesi, Montecarotto and Poggio San Marcello, was included as part of the sixtieth edition of the International New Cinema Exhibition.

The Regional Director D’Angelo underlined how in the short film, produced by the Fire Brigade Department together with the Central Directorate for Training, with the patronage of Fondazione Marche Cultura and Marche Film Commission, “we tried to make the spectator “live” all that intimate world and values ​​of a firefighter involved in large and small emergency situations through images, emotions, decisions, silences”
