In Matera from Tuesday 18 June until Thursday 20 June 2024, ASD Oltredanza organizes and promotes classical, contemporary and hip hop dance workshops dedicated to small and young dancers. A three-day full immersion in the world of dance, to delve into the art and technique of nationally and internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. From the age of 7 onwards, children and young people will have the opportunity to try their hand at the world of dance following an external and different direction compared to the usual lessons, deepening their techniques and vision of classical dance with the teacher Antonio Mitaritonna, of contemporary dance under the guidance of the artistic director of the OCDP of Verona Michele Oliva and of hip hop with the artistic director of the Eschilo of Rome Daniele Baldi. The Oltredanza Stage, which will be held at the ASD headquarters in via delle Fiere, 1 in Matera, was created with the aim of expanding the ASD’s training offer and promoting knowledge and in-depth study of the art of dance in a broad and transversal manner, even outside the pool of members. The dance internship is an activity aimed at training and is a moment in which students find themselves facing new and different situations compared to the lessons they attend daily. In these contexts the children compare themselves with their peers on technical and teaching characteristics, increasing all aspects of the emotional sphere since they perform and study with teachers they do not know and who bring added value to their training. At the end of this experience, on Saturday 22 June 2024 at 6.00 pm, the students will perform a final choreographic outcome to show the families and their teachers the result of these three days of training.
