According to the first reconstructions of the case, the scene of the incident would be the city of Fabriano, in the province of Ancona. The woman would spend five hellish years at home every time her husband raised her elbow a little more.
Day after day he would shower her with insults, blackmail and death threats. All this would have pushed the woman, a 28-year-old originally from Tunisia, to escape to a nunnery so as not to be found. This allegedly happened after she had also been physically attacked.
The man, a 40-year-old Tunisian, appears to have attacked his wife even in the presence of their two young children. Apparently, her children begged their father several times to stop. The man’s loss of control could be traced back to alcohol abuse which he apparently did every evening before returning home.
The 28-year-old apparently ended up inside a shelter, which in turn was contacted by the man more than 40 times to ask him where his wife was. This further gesture would have caused him to receive, at the end of last month, a 6-month sentence for interruption of public service.
Yesterday, he received another sentence: aggravated mistreatment in the family. Furthermore, the criminal panel appears to have issued a 4-year prison sentence for the accused. But not only that, the 40-year-old appears to also have to provide compensation of 12 thousand euros.
Before obtaining these results, it seems that the 28-year-old reported him twice, the first of which dates back to 2016. The two apparently got married in 2015 in Tunisia and then the girl reached Fabriano due to her husband’s work. In all this, it seems that she had no idea of the man’s alcoholic addiction.
