The first men’s Serie C team ofAntares Latin Swimming ready for the promotion playoff. The rossoblù seniors return to the water this Saturday for the first match of the promotion playoff to Serie B against Villa Aurelia. The Pontini players play within the friendly walls of the Anzio swimming pool. Kick-off set today at 1pm.
The Romans of Villa Aurelia literally dominated the Sardinia group with a record of 17 victories and only one defeat, suffered against Roma Waterpolo (second place in that group and also in the playoffs). The team dear to President Bruno Davoli will therefore face a truly strong and important opponent.
Coach Gubitosa’s boys trained intensely between the swimming pool of Anzio and that of Borgo San Michele in Latina, to try to be ready for this important event.
The playoff formula includes two matches (the first leg at home in Anzio and the return away in Acilia) and whoever scores more goals than the other in the two matches with the same points will be promoted to Serie B. In the event of a tie also in the sum of goals at the end of the return match, the penalty shots will decide the winning team of this final.
