Resource, perspective, dream of an afterlife to travel, a place of exchange and war: water will be at the center of the second edition of the Festival of the Cities of the Middle Ages, scheduled in L’Aquila from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th July.

In the Castle park there are meetings, debates, exhibitions, even a village dedicated to re-enactment in which templars, men-at-arms, archers, scribes and calligraphers, apothecaries, falconers and flag-wavers move.

The second edition of the informative event, promoted by the University and the Municipality of L’Aquila, is entitled ‘Cities and water’. Among the guests announced, the actress Laura Morante, the archaeologist Andrea Augenti, the historians Paolo Tocco, Luca Molà, Franco Cardini and José Enrique Ruiz-Domènec.

Also expected are the speeches of Aldo Ferrari, Elisabeth Crouzet Pavan, as well as Dario Fabbri with a reflection on the geopolitics of water and the sociologist Magdalena Léon Gómez who will dedicate her speech to Spanish rivers.

There will be no shortage of contributions from Univaq teachers Alfonso Forgione and Amedeo Feniello who have taken care of the scientific direction since the first edition. The complete program will be released in the next few days and can be consulted on Festivalcittadelmedioevo.it
